About Us

We are a small residential interior design studio based in Denver, Colorado. Our design principal, Nora Stewart, has been creating beautiful environments for her clients for over two decades. A native of the northeastern United States, she began her career in Connecticut during the mid 1980's and in 1998 relocated to Colorado. Nora believes good design must be fresh and original but reflect eternal principles of beauty that can be seen in many historic design eras. Her work reflects the timeless appeal of classic design but with a modern outlook and updated to suit today's life styles. Most recently her work has been published in the Denver Post and featured on Decorative Materials International's website. Nora has also been selected by the Denver Design Center to its 2010 "Design Connection" designer referral program as one of only 30 Colorado interior designers. This is her fourth year in this prestigious program.

In her words, "My design philosophy is to provide my clients with interiors that are aesthetically harmonious and dynamic as well as completely functional and comfortable. I want rooms that inspire and nurture my clients. My work is distinguished by my use of quality textiles and a gifted interplay of pattern, texture and color."

Growing up on the east coast has influenced her work. "The lens through which I filter my work is based on my early love of historic decorative arts and architecture from around the world. Much of my work is influenced by European and American history but also by elements from India and Asia. There is an interconnection between the arts and architecture of many continents and periods. It is a continual source of inspiration to me. Good design is always moving forward in exploration. It does not stand still. I try to keep my interiors classic but with a fresh and updated interpretation."

Nora maintains a keen focus on her client's personal profile. "Of the utmost importance is that my clients have homes that truly reflect their own style. There must be touchstones throughout that speak to my clients' values and experiences and that inspire their spirits to soar beyond the grind of ordinary daily life."

Over the years Nora has completed many diverse residential interior projects. She is available to work on both large and small-scale projects throughout Colorado and will consider out of state work as well.
